The RCM has awarded three Honorary Fellowships for contributions to midwifery. Professor Helen Cheyne, Elizabeth Bannon OBE and Professor Jean White CBE received their awards last week (w/c 4 May 2020) as part of the International Day of the Midwife celebration.

Prof Cheyne was applauded for her significant contribution to midwifery research, while Elizabeth Bannon was cited as ‘the person you go to when you need midwifery expertise… and sound advice’. Prof White, who is Chief Nursing Officer for Wales, was commending for championing midwifery.
