New RCM conference speakers announced daily
By Julie Griffiths on 16 July 2018 RCM Annual Conference
The line up of speakers set to present at the RCM annual conference 2018 are being announced daily via Twitter.
The two-day conference, with a dedicated strand for student midwives, will be held on 4 to 5 October at Manchester Central.
People lined up to present so far include the RCM’s very own CEO Gill Walton and president Kathryn Gutteridge, as well midwifery experts and influencers including activist and author Helen Pankhurst and midwife, mother and author Clemmie Hooper.
Issues set to be covered in the various sessions include perinatal mental health, challenging inequality, sexism and discrimination, putting policy into practice, and caring, coping, preparing and understanding stillbirth.
Described as a ‘must attend’ midwifery event, the conference is free for all RCM members and is very popular with last year's 3000 tickets allocated within 48 hours.
If you haven’t already signed up, you can do so here.
Keep an eye out on the RCM’s Twitter feed and #rcmconf18 for the latest speaker announcements still to come every day this week.
