Midwives are invited to apply for the Wellbeing of Women (WoW) research grants for 2019.
Wellbeing of Women is particularly keen to receive applications for research into amniotic fluid embolism, menopause and midwifery, as the charity has designated funds available in these areas.
The organisation is looking for applications for research in basic science, clinical or translational research in the areas of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period, including preterm birth, miscarriage and fertility.
Also sought are applications for research into the general wellbeing surrounding women’s health issues such as menopause, incontinence, sexual health, perinatal mental health, menstrual disorder and endometriosis; and gynaecological cancers.
The upper grant award limit is £200,000 in total over one to three years. These awards are open to applicants carrying out their research in the UK or Ireland.
The closing date for applications is 7 February at 1pm.
