The Chief Scientist Office (CSO) have established a new funding stream aimed at nurses, midwives, AHPs, pharmacists and healthcare scientists – NHS Researcher Development Fellowships

 There are two types of fellowships, which both involve 13 days funding over a 12 month period from 1 April 2024 – 31 April 2025:

1. Participation in a research study and mentorship – through candidates identifying a research team and mentor to host them.  Aimed at people without much research experience.
2. Preparation and support to apply for a competitive PhD programme – through identifying a mentor to support the application process.  Aimed at people with some research experience and who have a clear idea of research they would wish to undertake.
